As per June 16th, 2022 According to the Nicaraguan Health Ministry (MINSA) and Civil Aeronautic Institute (INAC), passengers travelling to Nicaragua, must provide a proof copy of a full vaccination scheme when arriving at the country. Non vaccinated people or people whose vaccination scheme is not complete, must present, before boarding, a negative result of a RT-PCR COVID-19 test carried out within a period not exceeding 72 hours prior entering the country. A copy of the test result must be submitted to your travel agent or airline before you travel for government approval. You must also present a physical copy of your results upon check in and arrival in Nicaragua.

Currently there are three international airlines flying into the country, AVIANCA, COPA and EASTERN. AVIANCA and COPA are working commercial flights, AVIANCA provides daily flights to/from Miami. It also flights to/from El Salvador from where you can make your connection to Managua. COPA flights three times a week, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from/to Panama. EASTERN works charter flights every Friday. For further information on schedules and fares, please contact the airlines directly.

For guests traveling to the USA or countries that require a COVID-19 test, in Nicaragua, it’s only available in Managua through the Nicaraguan Health Ministry (MINSA). Our team would be pleased to assist you in setting your appointment. The test’s cost is $150.00 (one hundred and fifty US dollars) and you can get the results online the same day.

Costa Rica recently opened its land borders, making Liberia a great option to fly into, for all the connections they have available, but also because the Antigen testing is now available at LIR airport with results guaranteed in under 1 hour.
